Avery (she/her) is a master’s-level social work student at the University of Michigan who brings authenticity, warmth, and approachability into the therapeutic space. She values confidence, growth, and self-expression, and believes therapy can be both supportive and engaging.
Avery is passionate about working with global communities and has experience supporting immigrant and refugee populations, particularly Latinx individuals. Avery brings a strong foundation in Spanish language to her work, along with a thoughtful awareness of how culture, identity, and systems impact mental health.
Avery is interested in working with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety and depression, trauma, grief, relational stress, and life transitions. She incorporates techniques from motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to support insight, coping skills, and meaningful change.
