My intention is for therapy to reduce your suffering in service of the change you want for yourself and the people closest to you. In a society that doesn't prioritize our inherent human needs, many of us struggle through violence, neglect, chronic stress, disconnection, and discrimination on a systemic and personal level. In the face of these experiences, we may feel sadness, anger, stress, shame, anxiety, a lack of belonging, like we’re living in a fog, or other distress. Whatever you are feeling or experiencing inside, this is not evidence of something wrong with you, but of an understandable response to what has happened. Therapy can provide a space to understand these feelings and have support in building connection, capacity, joy, coping, or whatever your goals may be.

I practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) interventions, and mindfulness techniques. These modalities emphasize connective relationships, emotional engagement, the body-mind connection, and the impacts of trauma. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in conflict resolution and LGBTQIA+ affirming healthcare.

I see both individuals and people in relationships (platonic, romantic, familial).

I welcome and affirm people who have experienced discrimination in the mental health system, including disabled, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ (trans, non-binary, ace, intersex inclusive), and polyamorous folks. I hope to hear from you.
