Hi, I'm Nicholas! I'm a therapist, social worker, researcher, and teacher with experience working with members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and their loved ones. As a therapist, I'm passionate about supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, anxiety, body image disturbances, grief, life transitions, and political stress. I work with clients of all gender identities age 16 and older.

We might be a good fit for each other if you're interested in exploring and sharing about your experiences, thoughts, and feelings, if you're willing to be curious about yourself and the world around you, and if you're open to building skills that will empower you to effect change in your life. I believe that you're the expert of your own life and you can craft your own narrative; I'm here to learn from you and work alongside you.

In terms of therapeutic approaches, I incorporate various evidence-based modalities into sessions depending on each client's needs, but I pull from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapies, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and certain mindful practices.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I completed my PhD in French studies and researched how video games can help us reinterpret the medieval past. I spend my free time outside of therapy playing all kinds of games, birding in the backyard (with my cat), and catching up on my favorite shows.
