Who we become is shaped both by what happens to us and by the meanings we give to what happens.
I am a TLLP-licensed clinician with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. My therapeutic approach is existential and humanistic in nature, with a strong focus on depth psychology and the less visible processes that shape our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self.
My work is trauma-informed and draws from a range of evidence-based and integrative modalities, including DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and somatic therapies. I incorporate expressive approaches, including art and dance/movement therapy, when appropriate. I tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals, creating space for both verbal and nonverbal forms of exploration and healing.
To my work as a therapist, I also bring a Ph.D. focused on language, culture, and society, along with years of experience as a researcher and college educator. I understand the power of personal narrative, symbolism, spirituality, and culture and how they shape our experiences.
You are a unique individual, with your own history, experiences, ways of making sense of the world, and ways of coping with it. I approach our work with openness and authenticity and without judgment, working with your unique strengths and possibilities. Together, we explore the possibilities that can help you move toward a life that feels more fully your own.
